What This Calculator Does

This planning tool maps ATAR to indicative WAM and GPA bands — and works in reverse from WAM to estimated ATAR ranges. It does not apply an official UAC or Uni formula because none exists linking secondary rank to university grade point averages.

How the Calculation Works

Eight planning bands span ATAR 0–99.95 mapped to WAM ranges and paired GPA values. Example: ATAR 85–89.99 → WAM 75–79 → GPA 3.0/4.0 and 6.0/7.0 (Distinction band).

Reverse mode finds the band containing your WAM and returns the associated ATAR range — useful for curiosity, not for claiming ATAR equivalence on official documents.
